Challenge

Like all schools, PLC (one of WA’s most prestigious private girls’ schools) has a need to market and promote its success. One of the strategies is to provide regular updates to current and prospective parents, students, grandparents, old girls and stakeholders. Most communication coming out of most schools is uninspiring, dull and eminently delete-able. PLC needed something different.

Answer

For PLC, we use creative and authentic storytelling to inspire and inform, both internally and externally. The task for the content playing above was to introduce the new principal to all stakeholders. Typically, this would be done in the “Hi I’m the new principal” talking head video. Instead, we asked students to describe qualities of the new principal and used cinematic style to add interest and appeal.

Results

  • High levels of engagement with the long versions (internal) and short versions (external)
  • Level of knowledge of the new Principal high even before the first day of term
