Challenge

Construction Training Fund (CTF) came about with the merger of the construction industy’s “Building Construction Industry Training Fund” and the education sector’s “No Limits” programme. CTF thus had a much larger range of stakeholders with whom to communicate, including industry, potential students, teachers, parents, apprentices and the general public. When launching a new website, CTF also needed to enable companies to pay the construction levy online, with the need to show students, teachers and parents advice on the kinds of jobs available online.

Answer

We built a site which accommodated the needs of all potential audiences, whilst keeping the user interface and customer experiences as simple and as possible. This was enabled through an innovative tab system on the homepage which allowed users to change the entire site to show content relevant to them. Through cookies we saved users’ preferences so that, when they returned, they again only saw content relevant to them.

Results

  • 135,000 users of the site since the launch
  • 4% increase in repeat visitation
